Electrical Reports
Electrical reports are often requested when the wiring installation is old, has undergone alteration / extension or is of a safety concern. The regulations for electrical installations are upgraded regularly and even quite new systems may not conform with the latest edition.
Electrical reports should be undertaken by an electrician who is registered by the NICEIC (National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting).
Reports can be especially tailored to meet the needs of the homebuyer. The electrician will undertake an inspection to all readily accessible parts of the installation and run a number of random tests to ascertain condition and more importantly safety.
The report should highlight:
- areas in need of immediate attention
- areas that require improvement in the normal course of future maintenance
- areas that require further investigation
- a quotation for any remedial works recommended.
