Getting a Quote for your Structural Report is so easy with our online system
Brewsters are able to offer reports to suit the needs of those of you in the ‘house purchase / selling’ process as well as current owners who are concerned about damage they have discovered in their home.
Our reports are tailored to meet the requirements of financial institutions when applying for a mortgage, answer queries raised in valuation and homebuyer surveys and also to offer complete peace of mind regarding a building’s structural integrity. The reports are equally applicable for vendors, prior to putting their house on the market, as to purchasers prior to entering into a sales negotiation.
Whatever the problem, whether buying, selling, or a concerned homeowner, Brewsters will provide the solution.
Detailed below are our two most popular reports.
Option A
Specific Defect Report (one area)
This report offers a cost effective solution when your concern is restricted to one specific area.
The inspection will be limited to a specific structural defect or area of concern, our report and comments are isolated to the specific item and other parts of the property may not be inspected.
The report will comment upon:
- Whether the specific defect is of a structural nature.
- Identify the likely cause of the defect.
- Recommend any necessary repairs.
- Estimate the likely cost of the remedial works.
People bought this report because:
- A valuation report highlighted a single defect of a structural nature
- They were concerned regarding a crack / defect to one location of the property

This is a visual inspection to comment upon the structural adequacy and condition of all accessible structural loadbearing elements of the property (main building), to include roof structure, walls, floors, lintels and beams, along with any outside influences which may present a risk to the foundations.
The report will comment upon:
- The condition of all of the structural elements to the building, identifying if any defects are present.
- Identify the likely cause of those defects present.
- Recommend any necessary repairs.
- Estimate the likely cost of the remedial works.
People bought this report because:-
- They were making a cash purchase, did not need a mortgage valuation, but wanted peace of mind
- Their valuation survey highlighted more than one area of structural concern
- They had difficulty in obtaining buildings insurance
- The property had been previously underpinned
