Staff Induction

  • All new employees will receive a Company induction which will include:
    • Health & Safety training (appropriate to role)
    • Company structure
    • Company policies & procedures

Identification of Development Needs

Systematic identification of development needs will take place as follows:

  • At organisation and team levels during:
    • Bi-monthly reviews of business objectives
    • Bi-monthly reviews of training and development progress
    • Twice yearly feedback of the above to all staff
    • Bi-monthly training days for all staff
  • At individual level during:
    • Induction and 4 monthly reviews for all employees and people new to a role

Priorities for Training & Development Activity

Training and development activity and formal qualifications will be linked to business needs, available resources and the following priorities:

  • Mandatory/statutory requirements
  • Essential job related needs
  • Career development needs

Training & Development Responsibilities

The Company

  • Will support managers in their role as developers of people
  • Will provide resources to support properly development training
  • Will identify appropriate sources of training and development linked to properly identified needs

Managers

  • Will carry out regular reviews of teams and individuals
  • Will support individuals with their development by:
    • Planning development activity
    • Providing feedback and coaching

Individuals

  • Will take part fully in agreed training and development activity
  • Identify their own development needs and communicate this to their manager
